Regarding the Assignment described below: We have located all the rest of the cameras except one or two. A couple are available now to sign out and the others should be available early tomorrow. But I'm still saying that those who turn in the assignment today, Thursday, will get extra credit in the form of a letter grade up from the grade received. E.g. if you receive a C+ for a grade, it will be recorded as a B+, etc. The print from one of those images - is STILL due as scheduled on Tuesday, Nov. 23rd, as described below.

You should be signing out the digital cameras and shooting your assignment on imitating (loosely) an Art photographer. It could be the one on whom you report but doesn't need to be. You will shoot 30 - 40 images; pick the best 3 - 5 and label them (Jonesbest 1, Jonesbest 2, etc.) Also, either on the surface of the CD or in the digital title for it, please include the photographer's name you were imitating. At the least it should be handwritten with a Sharpie on the CD.

On Tuesday, Nov. 24, you will turn in a printed copy of the best one of those 3 - 5 after you have worked on the image in Photoshop, using some of the procedures we outlined in class last Tuesday.
Pick an image that is very strong but one that you know could use some extra work: cropping, sharpening, color variations, dodging and burning, Curves, Levels, etc.

A REMINDER: The Final Exam for this class is scheduled for:
Thursday, Dec. 10th, at 3:00 p.m.
You will have a very short quiz on the history of Art and Documentary Photography. Then we will look at your Power Point presentations of the documentary/photojournalism assignment. I will address that today and in Tuesday's class.
