I proudly joined Spring Hill College’s department of political science this school year (2007-08), where I am teaching courses in political theory and American politics.

My scholarly interests include the history of liberalism, democratic theory (specifically the problems of modern citizenship), politics and literature and the Scottish Enlightenment figure, David Hume.

I previously taught at the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana), Colorado State University and Indiana University.
