Brief Biography
I was born and raised in New Albany, Indiana, which is right across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky (a region called “Kentuckiana”). I am the Director of International Studies and Assistant Professor of Political Science here at Spring Hill College.
I’ve authored or co-authored three books, numerous articles, and given many invited presentations on Latin American politics and international relations at national and international conferences. I am currently writing my fourth book, which will be published by the University Press of Florida.
I’m married to a wonderful woman, Dora, who is originally from Peru. We have two children, Trevor Alejandro and Erika Sofia.
