The letters linked below were originally transcribed by Marcellin Coté Adams and Ida Bright Adams from the actual letters now held in the Historical Society of Pennsylvania Dreer Collection. Acknowledgement is given to the Society for the preservation of these and countless other valuable historical documents. Check out their site!

The "Foreword" was written circa 1935 by my great grandfather, Marcellin Coté Adams, who had intended to include the transcripts in a publication on the history and genealogy of the Anshutz family in America.
